My Stance On Gun Control

A current event that has caught my attention is gun control. While I agree that it is the right of americans to own a firearm, and it is protected by the constitution, I don't believe that everyone should be allowed to have a gun. I think that someone who is mentally unstable should not be allowed to have access to a gun. It is unsafe for them self and for everyone around. On top of that, I don't think that a everyday citizen needs to have an assault rifle. I think that normal rifles, shotguns, and hand guns should be available to the public, but nothing with the potential to have a high kill rate.
